On the 14-15th of September, took place the «weekaed at the edge of the world» – the Arctic festival «Teriberka». Nowadays, the presence of popular science lectures in the event's cultural program is becoming bon ton, and the science communicators quite rightly are being called the rock stars of our time. That is why in addition to traditional entertainment, the festival's cultural programme included popular science lectures from real Arctic scientists and other specialists that are «in love with the Arctic» - from MMBI RAS, the Kola Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, the popular science lecture hall «The Land I Live In», the Ryazan State University, the Pasvik Nature Reserve and the Arctic Boat Museum. Alexander Zaitsev, Head of the MMBI Marine Mammal Laboratory, gave a lecture to the guests of the festival on Arctic marine mammals, as well as on current laboratory research. «It was an interesting experience, I liked all the lectures, my colleagues from KSC told us about the park's nature and the history of Teriberka itself», - Alexander shared his impressions.
