TO THE NORTHERN POLE AT THE ATOMICS "50 YEARS OF VICTORY".

Director of Murmansk Marine Biological Institute, Academician G. G. Matishov returned from the expedition to the North Pole on the nuclear ship "50 Years of Victory" dedicated to the fortieth anniversary of the nuclear icebreaker "Arktika" trip. During the campaign, Academician G. G. Matishov produced water samples from the icebreaker for further analysis in the Institute's laboratory for radionuclides content, observations of sea ice, seabirds and mammals. In addition, G.G. Matishov took part in the conference held directly on board the nuclear-powered ship with the participation of representatives of the State Duma, Federation Council, Rosatom state corporation, polar explorers and scientists, where he made two presentations.
