On the 17th of August in Murmansk, as part of satellite events of the IV Congress of Young Scientists, Governor Andrei Chibis met with representatives of regional scientific organisations. During the meeting, scientists from Kola Scientific Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences, MAU, Marine Arctic Geological Expedition, Murmansk Marine Biological Institute of RAS, as well as experts of satellite event of the Congress of Young Scientists discussed with Deputy Minister of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation Denis Sekirinsky and head of Murmansk region Andrey Chibis a number of issues relevant not only for polar region, but also for the whole country. MMBI RAS was represented at the meeting by Deputy Director for Science Denis Moiseev and Oleg Bondarev from MMBI Laboratory of Ichthyology and Physiology.
