From January 31 to February 2, strategic sessions are taking place in Murmansk as part of the development of the Murmansk Agglomeration master plan. The sessions are based at the Murmansk Regional Scientific Library and the Regional Management Center. The Murmansk Agglomeration includes Murmansk, the Kola District, and Severomorsk. Representatives from the Government of the Murmansk region, local self-government bodies, and key organizations and companies operating in these areas are taking part in the strategic sessions. Among the invited participants was MMBI RAS Director Mikhail Makarov, Dr.Sc. (Biol.).
The first strategic session day was focused on the theme: "The Scientific and Educational Cluster of the Murmansk Region: How to Make Science and Education a City-Forming Industry?".
