Integral high-latitude expedition in Greenland and the Barents Sea on R/V "Dalnie Zelentsy" was conducted in the period from 3 November to 13 December 2015. Works were carried out on a century-old section of "Kola meridian" as well as in the south-western part of the coast and the inland waters of the archipelago Svalbard. The research group consisted of 12 MMBI experts. Oceanographic, hydrochemical studies, investigations of benthic and planktonic communities were conducted. Collecting of seawater samples for analysis of radionuclides content in the Barents Sea, geological research and monitoring of marine mammals and birds were carried out. The uniqueness of this expedition was the fact that all studies were carried out during the polar night.
