November, 9-11 Murmansk Marine Biological Institute holds the scientific conference “Global Climatic Processes and Their Effects on Ecosystems of Arctic and Subarctic Regions”.

 

During the two days of the conference more than 50 reports concerning urgent problems of global climatic processes and current status of Arctic and Subarctic ecosystems will be heard.

Among the participants there are leading scientists in the field of climate and ecosystems research, representing scientific organizations of Murmansk, Apatity, Petrozavodsk, St.-Petersburg, Moscow, Rostov-on-Don. Materials of the conference make up a collection of 220 pages in volume including theses of 124 reports and posters.

The conference starts on November, 9 at 10 o’clock at 15, Khalturina str., with the report of MMBI director G. Matishov “Research of climatic processes in marine ecosystems as the main concept of polar oceanology ”.
