On May 19th, the MMBI research vessel "Dalnie Zelentsy" was visited by a delegation of class teachers from educational institutions of the Murmansk Region. The excursion took place within the context of career guidance events held under the auspices of the State Autonomous Institution of Murmansk Region Additional Professional Education "Institute for Education Development" and the Murmansk Region Association of Class Teachers, focusing on the theme "The Career Guidance Potential of Children's Public Associations."
The excursion for the class teachers was conducted by the MMBI RAS Deputy Director for Science, Murmansk Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society Chairman Denis Moiseev, and members of the "Dalnie Zelenets" crew – the ship's captain N.I. Morozov, the third mate Yu.F. Rotar, and sailor L.I. Gritsunik. The teachers were introduced to the daily life of the ship's crew, told how water rescue equipment works, and shown its storage location on the deck. The visitors also learned how the crew members interact during voyages and how duties are distributed among them. Denis Moiseev told the guests of the "Dalnie Zelentsy" about the types of specialists who work on the ship and explained the layout of the premises where research work is organized during scientific voyages.
