Today, the Murmansk Marine Biological Institute (MMBI RAS) held its 42nd Young Scientists Conference "Studies of Arctic Marine Ecosystems". This year's event marks a special date - the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Young researchers presented 12 scientific reports. The organizing committee awarded prizes to the most outstanding presentations. The third place went to Alexandra Bulavina's report "Impact of Lena River discharge fluctuations on sea ice extent in the Laptev Sea". The second place was awarded to Alena Noskovich's "Sex structure of Macoma calcarea (Gmelin, 1791) bivalve settlements in areas with different hydrological regimes". And the first place was given to Konstantin Moskvin's "Megabenthos of the western coast of Novaya Zemlya Archipelago in bottom trawl bycatches". Congratulations to the winners!
