From the 4th to the 22th of August, a MMBI RAS complex expedition to the Barents Sea and the northwestern part of the Kara Sea took place on the research vessel Dalnie Zelentsy. The purpose of the expedition - conducting applied scientific research on monitoring marine areas and collecting data for a comprehensive analysis and forecast of ecosystem processes in the Barents Sea – was fully fulfilled.
As part of the expedition, oceanographic, hydrological, meteorological, radiological, ichthyological, planktonic and zoobenthic studies were carried out. A total of 47 stations were completed.
