May 13, 2016 in Murmansk on the basis of Murmansk Marine Biological Institute XXXIV Conference of Young Scientists of Murmansk Marine Biological Institute KSC RAS was held, dedicated to the 50th anniversary of Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences D.G. Matishov "Perspective directions of research of the Arctic ecosystem and the Southern Seas of Russia".
In 2016 the traditional conference "Problems of the Arctic region" MMBI Young Scientists was held in the reporting format session of young scientists in the framework of the XIV International Conference of students and graduate students. The program of scientific activities included 22 reports, 58 people were stated as participants in the event. The session heard and discussed 12 reports of young scientists and graduate students of the Murmansk Marine Biological Institute. Conference proceedings were published by the beginning of scientific activities.
According to results of creative competition held among employees of Murmansk Marine Biological Institute, winners were: Pavlova M.A., Minzyuk T.V., Pakhomov M.V., Vashchenko P.S.
