On February 6, the Kola Science Centre of the Russian Academy of Sciences (KSC RAS) hosted the III Interdisciplinary Conference "Arctic Nature in Modern Scientific Research", dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The organizers were KSC RAS, the Murmansk Branch of the Russian Botanical Society, the Kola Branch of the Russian Mineralogical Society, and the Murmansk Regional Branch of the Russian Geographical Society (MRB RGS). Denis Moiseev, Cand.Sc. (Geogr.), MRB RGS Chairman and MMBI RAS Deputy Director for Science, opened the scientific program of the event. He presented the report "Modern Radioecological Conditions in the Area of the Franz Josef Land Archipelago".
