The database contains information on zooplankton communities’ status, collected by authors in maritime expeditions between 2001 and 2010. The database includes information on 283 samples of zooplankton, selected in 25 expeditions. A record of each sample contains the date, geographic coordinates, a list of detected taxa, number per unit volume, ind. / cubic meters, fishing layer. The database can be used to analyze spatial and temporal variability of the Arctic seas ecosystems in a changing climate. The database is filled up and structurally extensible. Drafting requests for data search according to different criteria are available. Visualization of requested results is made on the basis of cartographic GIS.
