The 14th Arctic Logistics: Shelf Development conference (Murmansk, Nov. 19) addressed Arctic infrastructure development, Northern Sea Route operations, and hydrocarbon extraction challenges. Attendees included experts from Atomflot, Gazpromflot, Arktikmorneftegazrazvedka, MAU and MMBI RAS. MMBI plankton researcher Andrey Karnatov made a report on "Legal Frameworks for Offshore Oil Spill Response Plans: Current Gaps and Solutions." .
