An MMBI Ornithologist Organized a Symposium on Bird Population Dynamics in Northern Eurasia at the XVI International Ornithological Conference

MMBI RAS Laboratory of Ornithology and Parasitology Principal Researcher, Professor Natalia Lebedeva, participated in the XVI International Ornithological Conference of Northern Eurasia, which took place from April 21-24 in Kazan, based at Kazan Federal University and the Tatarstan Academy of Sciences. More than 200 ornithologists from Russia and other countries of Northern Eurasia took part in the conference. N.V. Lebedeva, together with Professor S.A. Solovyev (Novosibirsk), organized and conducted the symposium "Long-Term Dynamics of Bird Populations in Northern Eurasia," where she presented a report "Long-Term Population Dynamics of Geese on the Western Manych: Trends and Factors."

Within the conference framework, a meeting of the Central Council of the Menzbier Ornithological Society was held, during which current society matters were addressed. The conference was excellently organized, featuring interesting plenary and sectional reports, as well as discussions within round tables.
