On the 14th of August, MMBI RAS was again visited by guests from the Moscow Children and Youth Centre for Ecology, Local History and Tourism. This is a new generation of winners of the project ‘Young Polar Explorer’, as a prize they got a trip to our polar region in summer.
MMBI Director Mikhail Makarov greeted the children with a welcome speech, introduced them to the course of the Institute's activity, acquainted them with the history of its creation and development. Deputy Director for Science Denis Moiseev gave a popular science lecture ‘Research of the Arctic seas in the conditions of changing climate and anthropogenic impact’ and answered the questions of the young polar explorers.
